J.Crew

Today I went to J.Crew at the galleria. If you haven't ever shopped in there, they have cute casual and preppy type clothes. My sister loves this store as well. I think we both spent way too much money last time we were in there. Today I went back and here is what I got.
Favorite-Fit twill pants

Perfect-Fit long sleeve tee in black

And in white

I also got a cute hat for fall that I can't find a picture of on their website.

I am leaving Saturday morning for Seattle. Won't be back till next Wednesday so probably won't have any blog updates till then. xoxo

Tax free weekend

This past weekend in Texas was tax free on clothes. The state of Texas does this every year. It's mainly for back to school students, but everyone can take advantage of it. So I went shopping and here is what I got!
First stop was at Forever21. Normally I can't find anything in this store I like, but finally I got lucky.

My husband called this khaki jacket a "safari jungle jacket". Whatever.

Since I was feeling lucky, I strolled on over to the Lucky Brand Jean store. I don't care what anyone says, I don't care if these aren't considered "designer" jeans, but they are some of the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn. I have $200 True Religion and Paige jeans, and these are so much more comfortable.
Anyways, I got these trouser jeans, and they look awesome on.

And this cute cardigan (so much nicer in person!)

Now I had to stop at Macy's. I discovered a new designer brand while I was in there called Language Los Angeles. Such cute tops, but way expensive. But I had to buy just one. I couldn't resist.

I figured by this point I better stop while I am ahead because I know I am going to be spending tons of money with my sister next weekend.

It's a small world after all..

A few days ago this really gorgeous blonde sent me a friend request on myspace. I couldn't figure out who she was, but I knew it was someone I had met before. So I accepted her friend request and started looking thru her profile pictures trying to figure out how I knew her. And look who I came across in one of her albums.....
Yes, that is my dear ol' daddy

And his brother...

And more brothers, on the right...

Then it finally hits me. I do know this girl. She is the manager at my dads favorite hang out- Goe Harley Davidson. And come to find out, Natalie is cousins with Lacie, one of my best friends since middle school who was also one of my bridesmaids.
Moral of this story, pay better attention next time you are being introduced to somebody so next time you come across pictures of your dad on their myspace you won't have to think it's one of his secret girlfriends:)

Happy days are here again....

I never thought I would be so happy to get a visit from AF. Funny how she came early this morning after I got all upset yesterday. I felt like a 13 year old little girl texting all her friends who just got her period for the first time. Good thing only my family and close friends can read my blog. Most people would think I am crazy for announcing I got my period. I can not wait to start trying to get pregnant again! Brice was really excited, too. I loved seeing the look on his face when I told him. I'm going to be in Seattle in two weeks, so I really hope I don't ovulate while I am there. I knew this could happen, but I don't want to plan things around getting pregnant. And seeing my sister is very important to me. I think it should work out perfect to where I ovulate on the Friday I am coming home- if it's anything like the month when I did get pregnant. But we all know our bodies can do some weird shit. So I guess just got to wait and see, but till then I am on cloud 9 and so excited to be starting this new chapter again.

frustrated

Today has been exactly 4 weeks since my miscarriage bleeding stopped. I am still waiting for a visit from good ol' aunt flow. I was hoping she had come by now so we can put this behind us and start trying again. But it's hard to do that when I feel like I am stuck in this one spot and can't move forward. I'm trying not to think about it too much because I promised myself I wouldn't become one of those crazy women who's life revolve around getting pregnant.
I would love to hear from other girls who have had miscarriages how long it took to get your period back. I know there is a lot of you reading this who have been thru it and now have healthy babies so anything you may have to offer would really help. Just a little frustrated here. xoxo

Seattle bound

I am so excited because I just bought a plane ticket to go visit my sister and nephew for an entire week at the end of August. And the best part is that I am going by myself so we can do all the things we enjoy doing like shopping! And poor Nathan is use to this already from all the time we spent at the galleria. I hope Brice can manage without me for a week. Hopefully he can pick up after himself and remember to feed Sophia and Raven.

ewwww!!!!

Yesterday I almost had a heart-attack. Literally. No joking here. I had taken Raven with me to get coffee at Sunny Hearts. When we came home I put her down in her bed on the floor. I noticed a piece of "wire" next to her bed, probably trash from the box of the new dvd player Brice had just bought. Didn't even give it a second look when I picked it up in my hand when all of a sudden my gut instinct told me to throw it. So that's what I did, I threw it against the wall and did a heebie jeebie dance. I realized what I had just picked up. It was a creepy crawly dead snake!! I didn't dare get close enough to look at it, so when Brice came home I told him there was a dead snake in the living room. He took one look at it and said "that's a wire baby." So he picked it up to look closer, and sure enough, what did he do? He threw it against the wall, too. The poor snake had been dead for a few days at least so it was kind of fried looking. I guess Sophia or Raven killed it. It was dead right by their bed.
Here is a picture for your viewing pleasure.

Just like uncle Brice!

When Nathan and my sister were living here, Brice bought Nathan a bubble mower to keep at our house for when he came over to play. Nathan loved going outside and mowing the grass with Uncle Brice. But mainly he enjoyed mowing the sidewalk. Here is a picture from a few months ago at our house....

When Nathan and Crystal moved back to Washington, they forgot to pack Nathan's mower. So last week I decided to mail it back to Nathan. Crystal said Nathan got all excited when he opened the package. She asked him "where did that come from?" And he proudly told her "That's my mower from meme's house!" Of course he wanted to go outside right then and play with it, so Crystal snapped a picture on her blackberry and sent it to me....
