frustrated

Today has been exactly 4 weeks since my miscarriage bleeding stopped. I am still waiting for a visit from good ol' aunt flow. I was hoping she had come by now so we can put this behind us and start trying again. But it's hard to do that when I feel like I am stuck in this one spot and can't move forward. I'm trying not to think about it too much because I promised myself I wouldn't become one of those crazy women who's life revolve around getting pregnant.
I would love to hear from other girls who have had miscarriages how long it took to get your period back. I know there is a lot of you reading this who have been thru it and now have healthy babies so anything you may have to offer would really help. Just a little frustrated here. xoxo

Hang in there hon! Sometimes it just takes your body a little longer to regulate itself after a mc. That is why doctor's usually tell you to wait 2 cycles after. I am sure your AF will be here shortly..and then you can start trying again! Just have "fun" while you're waiting! Big hugs!

Thanks, Kara:)
How long did it take your body to regulate after your m/c? I know everyone is different, but it's still frustrating!

Waiting is so hard. I know after my m/c I wanted to get pg right away so badly. It's better for your body to wait a cycle or two. It's been through a lot and it needs to prepare to carry a healthy baby to term next time around!

After my m/c I bled for about 4 days, ovulated (but didn't get pregnant) and go my period 2 weeks later.

Have you asked your Dr. what he/she thinks? I would probably want them to induce my period if it doesn't come around by 6-8 weeks. Is that an option for you? I know they can give you something to bring on AF.

I will be thinking of you and pray things get started quickly. xo

That is good advice, Erynn. I will check with my doctor on that if nothing happens by week 6. She told me right after my m/c that I should have my period by 6 weeks. So I will check with her and see what she thinks if it doesn't come by then.
I'm glad you understand how frustrating it is. But I know you're right, I need to give my body time so next time around everything will be perfect.

It took my body a very long time to get back on track. I don't know why though and niether do the doctors. I got AF exactly 60 after my d&c. It was 67 days from the start of my induced miscarriage. I know that my ob was ready to give me provera to jumpstart my cycle but I really just wanted one on my own. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I know it's frustrating. (((hugs)))

My period returned 28 days after my m/c began but my hcg count did not continue to climb the way yours did so that may be a factor as to why it is taking a little longer. When I went in b/c I was spotting, my hcg count was 376 so my m/c was already taking place. You may have a little bit longer to wait b/c it took a while for your body to m/c. I am saying lots of prayers for you that you get pregnant soon! You will have a baby of your own Maryann! xoxo

((Thinking of you)). Several people that I know had miscarriages and they were told to wait at least two months before trying to get pregnant again.
When I gave birth, I bled for six weeks both times. It really does take your body a while to get back on track.
You are doing everything right. Love ya'!

I love you girls, and thanks for the support. It must have helped because I got that damn period early this morning!! Never in my life have I been so happy to get a visit from AF! And she brought the worst cramps, too. Oh well, it's worth it. xo
