Ike aftermath

Here are some pictures of our backyard where the fences blew down. It's weird being able to see our neighbors backyards. These fences were very old so now we all get brand new updated wood fences.

A piece of tree landed on my brand new mailbox. Brice had just built the mailbox post last week out of horseshoes. I am kind of surprised it made it thru hurricane Ike since my husband built it, haha.

Nathan's old daycare when he lived here had damage also

A tree near my parents house

This was near us also. There use to a real estate billboard on the corner that had been there since I was a little kid. It's gone now.

I am defiantly not complaining. The damage Angleton had is nothing compared to what Galveston and Crystal Beach had. Homes were completely destroyed there. Also lots of homes were destroyed in Freeport which is only 20 miles from us. I feel bad for those people and hope they can re-build soon. Re-building fences and planting new trees is easy. Having to build a new home is not possible for most people. Our prayers are with all those who lost their homes. God Bless!!

Wow! So glad you are all safe and will be able to fix things up again easily. Take care and have fun on your trip. Next time, just head on up here, we only flood odd times of the year! Betsy

Such devastation.... so happy that you are safe! Thoughts and prayers go out to everyone touched by this. Very scary! Even with insurance coverage, it's a pain and an expense to rebuild and start over..... scary.
